Holger Rune disappointed today in the 2025 Indian Wells final. We expected much from him, given how well he had played all week, and he is surely the first to feel bad for not being able to compete with Jack Draper. The Dane could only manage four games and came close to receiving a bagel in the first set, making the score even more embarrassing.

Reflections

I take a lot to learn from today. It has been two good weeks in Indian Wells, with very tactical matches. Obviously, I didn't play well today. That's how things are. I have things to work on towards Miami. I spoke with my coach at the end of the match, and we quickly evaluated everything. Jack played amazingly, he deserved the win today. He served great, but I could have done better on my part. When I needed to be aggressive, I didn't do it well. I think I was having a very good tournament, playing very well tactically, but today I couldn't be aggressive. That's why I lost today. When I needed to make things difficult, I couldn't do it because I didn't trust my shots.

The start of something positive?
