At the end of this week, we enter the month of February, a month where action moves to all parts of the world. It will be a month with a large number of tournaments, and some of the best players in the world will have to defend their titles. Jannik Sinner, for example, won the Roterdam tournament last year, but will not be attending this season. On the other hand, the world number 2 only defends 100 points after reaching the final last year at the Los Cabos tournament. Alexander Zverev will have a great opportunity to earn points with his participation in Buenos Aires and Rio de Janeiro. It will be his first time playing on South American clay, so we will see how he adapts from hard courts to clay.

Alcaraz - 100 points

Carlos Alcaraz, who will also have little to lose, like Zverev, will only defend the 100 points he earned for reaching the semi-finals in Buenos Aires last year. It's worth noting that he didn't manage to retain the title that time and ended up retiring from the Rio de Janeiro tournament due to an ankle injury right at the start. However, this year the Spaniard won't travel to South America but will head to Rotterdam, where he will be the top seed after Sinner's withdrawal.

Djokovic - 0 points

Lastly, Novak Djokovic won't lose any points this February as he didn't compete in any tournament last year. The Serbian is enrolled to play at the Doha tournament, but everything is uncertain. After the injury that forced him to retire in the Australian Open semi-finals, the immediate future of the world number 6 is a mystery.
