To help you plan ahead, we reveal how the tournament is distributed, with schedule and timings, during the two weeks of celebration, between January 12 and 26.

Two weeks of constant enjoyment, surprises, disappointments, and a lot of tennis spectacle lie ahead for fans of this sport in the coming weeks. The Australian Open 2025 arrives with many uncertainties to solve and numerous incentives not to miss anything. The time difference with Europe may hinder following the event, so it is important to know the dates and timings when the matches will take place.

One of the most notable peculiarities of the first Grand Slam of the year is that it starts on a Sunday, something that Roland Garros has also been doing for years. This has clear repercussions, such as a higher economic gain for the tournament, selling tickets for an extra day, but also contributing to the spectacle by allowing the first round of both singles draws to be completed in three days, making it easier to watch more matches and avoiding too much saturation.

It is important to remember that between January 6 and 9, the two qualifying rounds will take place, with the draws for both singles happening on Thursday, January 9. It will be at that moment when we will know the distribution of the top title favorites in the draw, and a few hours later, it will be announced on which days the bottom and top part will play. That is, Jannik Sinner and Alexander Zverev will not play on the same day until the semifinals, just like Aryna Sabalenka and Iga Swiatek.

All days, from Sunday, January 12, to Wednesday, January 22, will consist of a morning and an evening session at the Rod Laver Arena and the Margaret Court Arena. The action will start on all courts at 11:00 a.m. in Melbourne, which is 01:00 a.m. in Spain. The evening session on the two main courts will start at 7:00 p.m., depending on the day, translating to 09:00 a.m. in the Spanish peninsular and Balearic territories. From Thursday, January 23, the timings change, as only the semifinals of both draws will be played. The finals of both singles draws will start at 7:30 p.m. local time, which is 09:30 a.m. in Spain.
