After the first day of qualifiers for the ATP Rolex Paris Masters, the last big tournament of the regular season, Spaniards Roberto Carballés and Alejandro Davidovich have secured spots to compete tomorrow, Sunday, for a place in the main draw. Carballés faced a tough challenge by defeating Alexandre Muller, a French player on French soil, a rather complicated task in tennis (6-4 7-5), while Davidovich had a comfortable victory over the Argentine Facundo Díaz Acosta, who is not accustomed to indoor conditions (6-3 6-2).

On the other hand, Pedro Martínez was unable to play against Christopher O'Connell, and the unlucky moment of the day belonged to Jaume Munar, who had to retire due to injury during the match against another local player, Corentin Moutet (7-5 0-0).
